Dr. Jim Miller

 Dr. Jim Miller is a 1992 graduate of NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He received both his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and his B.S. in Animal Science from NC State University. Dr. Miller is a native of Hillsborough, NC and developed an interest in animals as a child living on a small farm in northern Orange County. Dr. Miller began his veterinary career as an Emergency Doctor treating emergency and critically ill animals in Durham. In 1997, he transitioned to general practice as owner of Durham Animal Hospital in order to have a long-term relationship with his patients and their owners. In 2006, he also founded North Churton Animal Hospital in Hillsborough. Dr. Miller is a board member of the Durham County Board of Health, a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. When not at work, he enjoys spending his time with his wife, two children and two dogs.

Dr. Mark Cagle

Dr. Mark Cagle, a native of Tennessee, joined Durham Animal Hospital in 2003. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville after completing his B.S. in biological sciences with a concentration in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology. His interests include internal medicine, surgery, oncology and exotic animal medicine, especially reptile medicine. At home he cares for two dogs and various exotic animals. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, hiking, nature photography, and exploring historic sites.

 Novartis Animal Health is the manufacturer of the heartworm preventatives Interceptor and Sentinel. Recently, the company ceased production of these drugs as directed by the FDA. We will be happy to provide a good replacement to keep your pets protected while we wait for Interceptor and Sentinel to become available again.
